Our Foundation
Global Research & Development Services (GRDS) is located in the semi-arid, western zone of India in Rajasthan State. Our office is in Jaipur, which is also known popularly as the ‘Pink City’, Jaipur has been popularized with the name of Pink City because of the color of the stone exclusively used for the construction of all the structures. Since, pink denotes color of hospitality. Hence, GRDS has inherited service and hospitality from its mother land.
GRDS was founded in early 2000’s with a philanthropic and academic vision. It is mentored by Smt. Krishna Sharma, who is our CEO and our source of inspiration and energy. Smt. Krishna has a rich experience of around three decades in academics and social activities. She has infused in the ethos of GRDS, a sense of ‘service to humanity’, with focus on quality research and ideas for, transforming the lives of many people who need it the most. Another founding member of GRDS is Ms. F L Charles, who is our Managing Director; she is the source of youthfulness and energy in GRDS. She has been consistently working for the social development. She belongs to the field of ‘Library & Information Sciences’. Her ideas have given GRDS the right cutting-edge and customer focus, which makes us stand out from the clutter. As our founders are inspiring women, who have always, been a source of encouragement in their families and torch-bearers in development of a better society. GRDS takes special interest in promoting women and encouraging them to take charge of their own lives and come forward to bring an incremental change in the world.
GRDS was conceived with an ideology of becoming an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) working for the social upliftment through implementation of quality research and inspiring ideas, but, the founders never wanted to run the firm solely on ‘charity’ and ‘grants’ which may develop complacency in our approach. So, GRDS is not an NGO, and hence, GRDS does not operate on external grants, but retains the core ideology of an NGO, and believes in working for its purpose in a corporate style, and yet, helping to make this world, a better place to live. GRDS welcomes public and private bodies and like-minded individuals to join us in our endeavor in various capacities.
